Cold Edge, 2005 How words and letters are presented greatly effect the tone and meaning they carry. The brushed aluminum letters in this piece already emanate a certain austere, cold personality. By further having them form the word "cold" and then pairing them with a winter scene, the presentation is complete. The piece chills you and yet offers some relief by the appearance of the man apparently at ease in the environment. The brown velour frame has warm attributes and yet can barely contain the cold within.
