Burning, 2005 This piece could not be stopped. From Rumi to Shakespeare to Third Eye Blind, the concept of passion as a burning sensation has been used time and time again. The idea fascinates me. Burning passion is a rare and beautiful thing. We are drawn to people on figurative fire like moths to a flame. In some ways, an all consuming passion like this eludes me but that makes me think of the Jenny Holzer mantra, "Protect me from what I want."
